Chairman to the Board
Peter Posen Huang has fostered the founding and shaping of Hsinchu County American School by bringing together talents and resources to help students realize their pursuit of success. He is devoted to the school’s continuous improvement and strives to position the school as a leading American School in Taiwan and Asia.
Born in Taiwan, he grew up in Montreal, Canada where he completed elementary, middle and high school. Subsequently he went to the U.S. for university and graduate school, completing his undergraduate studies at Cornell University and graduate studies at Harvard University.
His deep appreciation for North American education stems from the opportunities he has realized as a result of his education experience in Canada and in the U.S. He values education that empowers students by celebrating individual strengths and talents, allowing students to excel in their chosen fields of study and pursue their own paths to success.
Ultimately, he wishes to recreate the North American private school model right here in Taiwan, to help students achieve admissions to the top universities of their choice around the world. HCAS graduates are positioned to contribute to the world and thrive in the global economy.
In addition to actively supporting continuous improvement at the school, he continues to take interests in architecture and cuisine, as a licensed chef and restaurant owner. He is married to Jing Wang and is a father of two boys, Oscar and Lucas.
