🏅 HCAS Senior Earns National Recognition! 🏅 HCAS 高年級生榮獲國家級榮譽! Another HCAS student has gained national recognition for excellence! Grade 12 student Xin was invited to the Presidential Palace in Taipei on the morning of January 22 to receive the International Young Inventor Award. This event has capped a remarkable high school career for Xin. His 5 successful patents in Taiwan have amazingly built a 5-year record of 22 Gold Medals in International Invention Exhibitions and 2 National Gold Medals! 💻🌍 Competitive Coding Outreach in Action! 🌍💻 💻🌍 競技程式設計推廣活動正式展開! 🌍💻 The HCAS Competitive Coding Lab recently partnered with Chiayi County Shui Shang Junior High School to conduct a hands-on outreach program for middle school bilingual students, promoting both coding skills and the use of English as a medium of communication. Our Coding Lab members led interactive sessions introducing Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Gemini, guiding students through real-world applications of AI. 🔧🎡 Cross-Grade Learning: Exploring Pulleys from Kindergarten to High School! 跨年級學習:從幼兒園到高中的滑輪探索! 🎓✨ As part of their theme “How Things Work,” the K3 students have been learning about force and motion. While Kindergarten students are beginning to explore how simple machines make work easier by lifting or moving objects, our high school physics students study pulleys at a deeper level to solve complex problems, measure forces, and calculate mechanical advantage. 🌟🎓CATES Student Leadership Conference (January 17~19) 🎓🌟 HCAS 學生領導力大放異彩! Over 30 HCAS MUS students spent a full day on Saturday investigating, exploring and participating in a variety of student leadership workshops as part of The Council of Administrators of Taiwan Expatriate Schools (CATES) 2nd Annual Student Leadership Conference! We had four groups of students hosting the slate of nine workshops at the conference, and three of the five award-winning Shark Tank teams consisted of at least one HCAS team member. HCAS is proud to be awarded full accreditation status by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges! We will continue reflecting and making improvements that meet the needs of our students and staff, as we strive to provide world-class education for our students. As it is not easy to obtain a six-year accreditation, this Lion Pride certainly celebrates the joint efforts of our staff and school community through this process.
