House活動
House活動是學生之間進行社交和在課外互動的機會。House活動鼓勵學校精神和團隊精神。每個House致力於加強學生間關係,同時培養團隊精神,讓不同年齡與年級的學生都能共同建立歸屬感。在HCAS實施的House系統,每個學生和老師都被分配到以中華神話中的“四大神獸”來命名的House,因為它代表了HCAS使命中重要的和固有的品質。在使學校進步和增進團隊精神的同時,House系統還鼓勵我們學生的相處融洽、責任感和培養群體意識。House的歸屬感是永久的。每個學生都應該幫助彼此共同成長與學習,並為讓House貢獻的努力而感到自豪。四個House在學術方面、體育、服務項目和活動中合作並良性競爭。




一到十二年級年級的學生都會被分配到四個House的其中之一 – 青龍、白虎、朱雀和玄武。在各自的House中,教師會被分配到一組七到九名,分別為五到十二年級的學生。一到四年級的學生則由班導師或其他教職員工指導。儘管該House計劃主要針對國中和高中的學生,但由於疫情之故,目前仍施加了某些限制。一般來說,學校內部課程會為學生提供各種活動,幫助他們建立7C中的優良品質。其一關鍵要素是讓學生與同儕能建立良好互動。

The concept of the house goes beyond the scope of the homeroom for the sake of the attendance. It is where socialization and bonding take place among students. At HCAS, the house system encourages both school and team spirit. Houses are committed to enhancing student relationships while fostering and encouraging team spirit, and a sense of belonging together regardless of age or grade. HCAS has chosen to implement a house system with each student and teacher assigned to one of four houses named after the “four gods” of Chinese mythology as they represent qualities important to and inherent in the HCAS mission statement. While school and team spirit are promoted, the house system also encourages integration, responsibility and a sense of community among our students. Membership in a house is life-long in theory. Each student should be responsible for the well-being of fellow members and be proud to work for the betterment of the House. Houses will work together and compete in academic, sporting, service projects and other events




Students in grades 1-12 are assigned to one of our four houses – Green Dragons, White Tigers, Red Phoenixes, and Black Turtles. Within their house, teachers are assigned a group of seven to nine student mentees in grades 5-12. Students in grades 1-4 are mentored by either their homeroom teacher or another staff mentor. Though the program is focused primarily on students in Middle and Upper School, certain restrictions are still imposed at the moment due to the pandemic. Generally, the house curriculum offers a variety of activities for students that help build on various character components outlined in the 7 Cs. A critical element of the house program is for students to build lasting connections with peers and learning.
